Martin "Tim" Smith

He enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Freehold High School in 1964 and
then served as a Reservist for several years. He joined the Marlboro Township
Police Department where he worked as a patrolman, sergeant, and then went into
the traffic safety division where he was the lead accident reconstructionist before
retiring in 2000.

Al joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17 and served for four years. He later proudly served in the New York City Police Department before retiring July 21,1978. Al was an active member of the Blue Knights NJ XV (The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club).

Robert ‘Chiefie’ Murphy, 80, Middletown NJ died Friday August 10th doing what he loved best – riding his Harley Trike. He had a massive heart attack on a bike ride to Boston with two of his best friends and rode softly off the road

Natale (Nat) Joseph Faronea Jr. 75, passed away on October 13, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Nat was born on October 26, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Belleville and Lakewood before settling in Toms River. He was proud of his Italian American heritage. Nat originally worked as a printer but decided on a career in law enforcement working for the Monmouth County Jail and then retiring from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Officer.

Thomas Steven Ferrugia, 65, of Eatontown, NJ passed away at his home on May 5, 2023. He was a Vietnam War veteran, retired Eatontown P.D. sergeant and K-9 handler, head coach of the Ocean United Knight Mares, but most of all a deeply cherished husband and father. Always light-hearted and generous, he made friends quickly and explored countless hobbies with them.

Grillo who passed away at home with his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Jane. John was the loving father of Christopher and Cynthia, father-in-law to Danielle and James, and forever Papa to Hope and Faith. West Long Branch - Robert Nicholas Yacubovich, age 68 of West Long Branch, passed away on January 17, 2021 of natural causes. Bob served 38 years as a law enforcement officer, retiring as a Major in the New Jersey Department of Corrections.

Mr. Sickles was born in Cranbury and had resided in Marlboro and Spring Lake Heights before moving to Toms River. He was a bus driver for Asbury Park-New York Transit, Asbury Park before his retirement. Prior to that, he was employed at the former Marlboro State Hospital. He was an Ex-Chief of the Marlboro Fire Company and a member of Spring Lake Fire Company No. 2 and the Blue Knights Chapter No. 15.
